Obituary for Carl Kizman

Carl H. "Butch" Kizman age 76, of Wheatfield, passed away Sunday, January 30, 2022 at St. Anthony's Hospital in Crown Point. Born in Chicago, IL Carl is the son of the late Carl & Rosalee Kizman. He was also preceded in death by his beloved wife of 24 years, Becky and his daughter, Catherine Neubauer. Carl is survived by his 3 adult children, many grandchildren, and his 3 sisters. Carl is a graduate of Thornridge High School and served his country in the Air Force in Viet Nam from 1964-1967. He worked in multiple fields throughout his life, including Law Enforcement, Auto Sales, Private Detective work and he ultimately found his calling as a skilled Blast Setter in quarries for many years, as well as simultaneously owning his own business, KWay Transport, which he worked with his wife, Becky. He was hardworking and a great negotiator, whether it be for a new car or an item on ebay! He put out a regular e-newsletter to some friends and family for several years comically called, "Butch's Bitchin Bulletin", in which he would satire politics of the day and personal opinions. Carl possessed a unique sense of humor and was a friend to many. Carl loved spending long hours repairing cars and/or making them more powerful. That passion carried over to hobbies of attending live auto racing and collecting vintage model "muscle cars". He was always quick to offer a helping hand, a cold beverage and a chuckle! In lieu of flowers, we are asking that donations be made to the Disabled Veterans National Foundation (www.DVNF.org) or St. Jude's Children's Hospital. A private Internment will be held.

Frazier Funeral Home have been entrusted with arrangements.
