Obituary for Florence E Goffe-Albright

Florence "Pat" (Albright) Goffe, née Rendant passed away peacefully on April 13, 2023, surrounded by her loving family at Franciscan Health Crown Point. Pat was born to Walter and Margaret Rendant in Chicago Heights, Illinois, August 18, 1941, one of 6 children. In 1957, Pat married her husband Franklin Albright Sr., and they enjoyed 45 years of marriage before he preceded her in death in 2002. Pat and Frank enjoyed watching their family grow, as they were blessed with 4 children, 11 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Pat later found companionship with John Goffe, enjoying 15 years of marriage before he passed in 2018.

Pat was a woman of many hobbies. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, playing cards and dice with her visitors, spending time with her family, and snacking on twinkies and frozen cokes. In addition to these activities, Pat worked a variety of jobs over the years, but her most important job was being an amazing mom and grandma to those she loved. Pat was regarded as a loving and kind person, with an amazing sense of humor, cracking jokes just the day before she passed. Additionally, she was a devoted Christian and made sure to incorporate her faith into every area of her life. She spent many years teaching Sunday School and Vacation Bible School at Victory Baptist Church and enjoyed planning the annual Christmas pageant and giving baskets for the elderly in the community.

Pat is survived by her daughter Patty (Rick) Gann and their children Brandi (Rob) Murray and Daryl (Amanda) Gann; daughter Tina Cary (Mike Guerrero) and her daughter Donna Cary (Kyle Poort); daughter Eva (Ron) Gann and their sons Ryan (Paige) Gann and Kyle (Jordan) Gann; her son Frank's children Stacy (Chris) Lambert and Frank (Cassie) Albright; her daughter-in-law Carol Albright and her daughters Lisa (Larry) Ewen and Sheree (Jack) McNeal; her sister Jackie Middleton; her sisters-in-law Veronica Rendant and Audrey Clark; and her aunt Mae Tenayuca. Florence was preceded in death by her husband Frank Albright Sr, her husband John Goffe, her son Frank Albright Jr, her son-in-law Glenn Cary, and her granddaughters Duanna Manns and Kimberly Pfeifer.

Pat's family will be holding a funeral service to honor her life on Tuesday, April 18, with a viewing from 10-12 and service to follow at the Frazier Funeral Home in DeMotte, Indiana. Expressions of condolences and other family wishes can be sent to the family.
