James Strader age 70, of Lake Village passed away Saturday, March 6th, 2021 at Franciscan Health Care in Crown Point with his family by his side. James was born in New Harmony, IN on November 7, 1950 to Nestor and Betty Strader. James was a high school graduate in 1968 and went on to serve in the Army in 1970. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 2 Bronze Stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal With 60 Device, Sharp Shooter Badge(Rifle) and 2 Over Seas Bar. James enjoyed his antique cars and being around his church family and friend's.

Left behind to cherish his memory and to celebrate his life is his loving wife of 33 years Jennifer Strader, children Lori (Jeff) Johnson, Tracy, Susan, Michael, and Jason. 9 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 2 sister's Gail and Jodi and his wonderful 94 year old step mother Ginette. James will be deeply missed by those who loved him, including his church family and many friends.

Funeral services for James will be held at New Life Church in Lake Village, IN at 9560 N 300W Lake Village, IN on Tuesday March 9, 2021 at 1:00pm with Pastor Ken Groves officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:00am to the time of the service. The family has asked in lieu of flower's donations to be made to New Life Church. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Frazier Funeral Home in DeMotte.
