Obituary for Judith Lorriane Armstrong
Judith ''Judy'' Lorraine Armstrong 81,of Lowell, Indiana passed away on June 2, 2021 with her family by her side.
She was born on July 30,1939, the fifth child of eight, at home in Morocco, Indiana to the late Delos & Alice Warne where she attended Morocco High School. She was married to the late William ''Bill'' Armstrong on July 9, 1972 where they raised 8 children together.
Judy· was a retired florist. Judy and her late husband, Bill lived in Lake Village and operated Armstrong Florist for over 40+ years. Judy never knew a stranger and enjoyed visiting with her customers. She was a HUGE Chicago Cubs fan, a die-hard Republican, a member of the Lake Village Presbyterian Church, loved to play the piano by ear, an excellent bowler, a softball pitcher, baton twirler, cheerleader, loved her family deeply and didn't miss an IU Football game. Judy enjoyed attending her grandchildren and great-grandchildren's sporting events to ''Cheer them on!''
Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Armstrong, her son, Scott, her parents Delos & Alice, brothers. Jerry and Robert Warne, and one grandson, Craig Blann.
Judy is survived by her children: Lorrie (Brian) Laffoon, Kevin (Val) Madison, Lisa (Bill} Markve, William Armstrong Jr. Siblings Gene Warne, Jack (Cleota) Warne, Joyce (William) Wagner, Janet (Tom) Allen and Jo Alice (Barney) Belt with 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services for Judy will be held at the Lake Village Presbyterian Church on Saturday, June 5th with visitation from 10am - 3pm. Funeral services begin at 3pm and will be officiated by Mr. Jay Janke with burial at the Lake Township Cemetery. Memorial gifts for Judy may be made to her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
