Obituary for Lorraine Montgomery

Lorraine Montgomery 84, passed away on Sunday, August 29, 2021, at Brookdale Seniors Memory Care Facility in Valparaiso, IN. She was born in Waterbury Connecticut, on March 5,1937, and was the daughter of Catherine (Arbusto) & Henry Braun. She was a graduate from Danbury State Teachers College, in CT with a Bachelors of Science Degree. In 1958, she married Robert Buck, and together shared 3 children. After their divorce she remarried to Lloyd (David) Montgomery, together they had 1 child. In 1974, Lorraine moved to Roselawn Woods in DeMotte, IN where it became her forever home.

Her passions included being a wife & mother raising her kids, watching her grandchildren, as well as numerous neighborhood children. She was born an only child so she loved being around kids. Her favorite saying was ā€œIā€™m a big kid myself.ā€ Her hobbies were boating, swimming, and being near water. She and her husband had a summer home on the Big Monon off of Lake Shaffer, where they entertained family and friends often. At their home in Roselawn they were famous for their pool parties, she was an awesome hostess.

Left to cherish her memories are her children; Valerie Buck of Michigan City, IN, Victor (Sherri) Buck of DeFuniak Springs, FL, Vivian (Vince) Clemans of Roselawn, IN, Veronica (Rusty) Williams of Lake Village, IN. 10 grandchildren: Jeffrey (Sarah) Graska Nashville, TN, Jillian Graska Fort Wayne, IN, Angelica Morgan of Porter, IN, Kyle (Kimberly) McManaway of Fox River Grove, IL, Skyler (Haleigh) McManaway of Valparaiso, IN, Ryan and RaeAnn Williams of Lake Village, IN, Kristan (Jason) Jordan of Knox, IN, Danielle (Steve) Krieps of Scott Depot, WV, Matthew (Brittany) Clemans of Delphi, IN: 14 Great Grand Children. Preceded in death by her parents and husband.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at Frazier Funeral Home located at 621 S Halleck Street DeMotte, IN from 11a.m.-1p.m. with a funeral at 1pm.

Lorraine was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
