Obituary for Marilyn Dianne Osborne
Marilyn Osborne (Sherwood) age 86, of DeMotte, IN passed away on Friday, April 1, 2022, with her loving family by her side. She was born on January 18,1936, to Charles and Jean Sherwood in Toronto, OH. Marilyn enjoyed life to the fullest and had a big heart, she loved being with her family and friends, was a member of DeMotte Church of Christ, enjoyed sitting on her swing watching the birds and squirrels, was a cake decorator by trade and was always asked to decorate graduation, birthday and wedding cakes for family and friends. Marilyn was a devoted wife of 67 years to Alfred “John” Osborne, her lifelong best friend and love of her life, and a loving, kind mother to her five children. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Left behind to cherish her memories is her husband, Alfred"John" Osborne, children: Dan Osborne of Rensselaer, IN, John (Dawn)Osborne of Kouts, IN, Sherri(Bill)McComb of Crown Point, IN, Paula(Steve)Swinford of Lowell, IN, and Jeff(Laurie) Osborne also of Kouts, IN. and was proudly known as “Nana” to 1 1 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles “Chuck” Sherwood and leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.
“Her children rise up and call her blessed; Her husband also, & he praises her; Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.” Proverbs 31 :28-29
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 8, 2022 9-11am with a funeral service at 11am at Frazier Funeral Home located at 621 S. Halleck Street, DeMotte, IN with Pastor Rick Boswell officiating, Interment to be held at Chapel Lawn Cemetery. The family has requested in lieu of flowers donations to be made to Unity Hospice and Palliative Care of NWI
Marilyn's family would like to give a special "Thank you" to the Progressive Care Unit Nurses at St. Anthony's Hospital in Crown Point and Unity Hospice and Palliative Care of NWI for their extraordinary care and heartfelt concern.
