Miriam VonArb age 84, of DeMotte passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2022 at Aperion Health Care in Roselawn with her loving family by her side. She was born in Chicago, IL on February 11,1938 to Frank and Agnes Nashek. Miriam was a kind hearted woman who loved to be around her family and friends. She had many hobbies such as gardening, going to the casino's, shopping, cooking for all the family gatherings, watching her favorite show, "The Soprano's", and collecting different types of dolls and knick knacks. Her favorite times were camping with her family at Wood Haven Campground in IL, sitting by the campfire, eating smores and dancing with her loving husband of 50 years, Thomas. She will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Left to cherish her memories is her husband: Thomas VonArb, sons: Ryan Lucas, Rodney Lucas: daughter: Mary Fortin, step-son: Larry VonArb: step-daughter: Laura VonArb: grandchildren: Julia VonArb, Frank Lucas, Mandy Angio, Melanie Lucas, Ryan Lucas Jr, and John Lucas: great grandchildren: Ivory Angio, and Gracelyn Hoffmann. She is preceded in death by her son, Randy Lucas: parents, Frank and Agnes Nashek: sister, Joan Bilecki.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 from 2-4 pm at Frazier Funeral Home located at 621 S. Halleck Street, DeMotte, with a funeral service at 4 pm with Pastor Rick Greene officiating.
