Robert J. Hughes Sr. age 83, of DeMotte passed away on June 11, 2021 at Franciscan Health in Crown Point with his family by his side. Robert was born to Joe and Velma Hughes on August 15, 1937 in Coolidge, Texas. Served proudly in the Airforce. Robert will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Let behind to cherish his memories are his wonderful children Cynthia (David) Purvis, and Robert Hughes, 3 grandchildren Rachael (Rob) Soulian, Stephen Purvis and Sarah, 1 great grandchild Alliana Soulian.

Robert is preceded in death by his lovely wife of 59 years who passed away on February 18, 2021 Ruby Hughes.
