Ruby A Walstra age 84, passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at George Ade Memorial, with her loving family by her side. She was born in Pryor, Oklahoma on May 16,1938 to Louie and Louella Eichelberger and was a beautiful woman inside and out, with a loving heart. Her hobbies were playing Bunco, gardening, sewing, cross-stitching, and was a member of Jasper County Home Economics Club. In 1968, she went back to school and reached her goal of getting her high school diploma, while raising her children at the same time. For many years she enjoyed working as a waitress at Reb Lobster and Marty's Place, she also enjoyed the company of children while driving a bus for the KV School Corporation. Ruby did not know a stranger, she would always take the time to speak to those around her, she was loved by everyone. Most of all she lived life to the fullest and loved her family deeply.
She is survived by her children: Gary(Cindy), Luann(Daniel) Hayes, Mike(Cherrie Lou), Kay England, Dawn(Rod) Barkley, and Darlene(Mark) Clutts, many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great great-grandson, Oliver: and brother, Marvin(Linda) Eichelberger. She is preceded in death by her loving husband: Harry Walstra, parents: Louie and Louella Eichelberger, siblings: Marcia, Ray, Glenn, Dorothy, George, Dale, Louie Jr, son in law: Russ England, grandson: Kyle Walstra, and great grandson: Jace.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at Community Bible Church, located at 814 N Halleck Street from 11am to 1pm and A Celebration of Life service will be at 1pm.
