Verona  Chandos
Verona L. Chandos age 82, of Monticello, formerly of DeMotte, IN passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at IU Health White Memorial Hospital in Monticello. She was born on March 29, 1939 to the late Harold and Catherine (Potts) Evans in Hammond, IN. Her favorite hobby was crocheting, she was always working on a blanket for someone, she was dedicated to her bible, a former member of First Baptist Church in Roselawn, currently a member of Grace Community Baptist Church in Monticello, IN, she would always send out a get well soon card to those who were sick in the church and inside was always a bookmark with a favorite scripture on it, her favorite flower was the sunflower, and she loved spending time with her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Let behind to cherish the memories is her son: Roger(Sharon) Chandos, daughters: Vicky(Richard) Singer, Pennie Chandos, Tammy(Paul) Fanara, sisters: Shirley Garmentt, Ruth(Wally) Choate, and Mary Janice Evans, 10 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren. Verona is preceded in death by her husband Roger Chandos, sisters: Leona Seifert, and Claudia Krzyzyk and grandson Gregory A. Singer.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2022 from 9-11am CST with a funeral at 11am at Frazier Funeral Home located at 621 S Halleck Street DeMotte, IN with Pastor Gary Roberts officiating. Internment will be at DeMotte Cemetery.
